How to sync between devices

Echo allows you to access your notes across multiple devices, as long as they are linked to the same account.

How syncing works

Your notes are stored under your Echo account.

👉 This means syncing is not automatic between devices — it only works through your account.

Step 1: Make sure you are signed in

On your first device:

  1. Open Echo → Settings

  2. Confirm you are signed in

  3. Note your sign-in method (Apple / Google / Microsoft)

Step 2: Sign in on your other device

On your second device:

  1. Download and open Echo

  2. Sign in using the same method and account

Once signed in, your notes will appear automatically.

Important: use the same account

To sync properly:

  • You must use the same sign-in method (Apple, Google, or Microsoft)

  • You must use the same account

Even if the email address is the same, using a different sign-in method creates a separate account.

If your notes are not syncing

If your notes don’t appear on another device, it usually means:

  • You are signed into a different account

  • You used a different sign-in method

  • The notes were created while not signed in

Special case: notes created without being signed in

If notes were created while not signed in, they will not sync automatically.

To sync them, you must first link them to an account on the original device:

  • Go to Echo → Settings

  • Create an account

  • This will link your notes to that account

Then sign in to that same account on your other device.

Best practices

To ensure smooth syncing:

  • Always stay signed in when using Echo

  • Use the same sign-in method across devices

  • Make sure to remember your credentials
